The word on the new-parent street these days is that it’s good for baby-parent bonding to have lots of skin-to-skin contact. For mothers, this comes with the breastfeeding. For fathers, skin-t0-skin contact needs to be more explicitly sought out. So, I’m currently watching the Penguins get trounced by the Red Wings with a diapered-only Ellie wrapped in the Moby wrap against my shirtless chest. It’s really lovely…except when Ellie moves . Then, instead of soft skin-to-skin contact, it’s stabbing-little-tiny-knife-nails-to-skin contact. Ouch. But I love it. It immediately reminded me of one of my favorite Merry Melodies cartoons. The relevant part comes at 1:38. I feel ya’ Marc Anthony (that’s the bulldog).

Ha! Us cat people would call that “makin’ biscuits”.
That’s why you cat people are weirdos. “Makin’ biscuits?”
